Hello, hello!  What a wonderfully productive week for me.  I did it, I finished my nutrition certification program and now it’s time to put it all into play.  It’s the beginning of anything that’s the hardest, I think, and that is where I am.  In my case, it is also the most fun.  I am in the set up a plan phase, and while a little bit intimidating to make that first start, totally worth it.  Change is good, even despite my dislike of change when it comes to having your child move out and move on with life.

It’s been almost a year since I quit teaching, spring break 2020 was when that part of my life all changed – you remember your life also becoming somewhat different around that time as well, I’m sure.  This idea of becoming an online coach came about a while before that, around 2018 I’d say is when I started thinking of the possibility of it.  Now, here I am and here I go.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My blog will most definitely remain as it is, I am not planning on turning into a full on health and nutrition guru anytime soon.  So let me get to what I do best around here, tell you all about my everyday.  Here we go with what else I have been up to lately.

Not really interested in what we bought her on our shopping trip.

When I last wrote, I had just been to the mall.  It was a disappointing trip, but I think I made up for it with some online shopping the week after.  I got a few of the things I wanted to get but wasn’t able to, and only have to return one item via snail mail so that isn’t too bad.  I’m still on the hunt for jewelry, I’d like a new necklace.  Something nicer than a Walmart craft pendant, with a string around it like the one I always wear.  It shouldn’t be that hard to find, but alas, I am a picky jewelry shopper – never knew.  🙂

We watched the Super Bowl for the first time ever without the boy.  He had his own plans, plus Stephen hadn’t watched football at all this season so the boy figured we wouldn’t be watching the game.  We always watch the game even if I have no idea who is playing or what is going one.  (Who played again?)  We still had a nice time, grilled steaks and I had my usual Super Bowl splurge of too much chips and cheese dip.  Nothing to complain about here.

This week I spent almost all of my time on the computer.  I was still working on getting it set up like I am used to and transferring things from the old one, which I haven’t finished yet.  I’ve updated some of my social media accounts and worked a little bit over here with behind the scenes stuff.  I also spent a whole day on Photoshop working on logos, headers, and stuff like that.  I managed to keep up with a clean house, and last weekend we replaced a ceiling fan in my sewing room.  That room is now ready to be deep cleaned and rearranged, but I am dragging my feet with it cause I also need to shampoo the carpet and I don’t want to, but I need to.  I have put it off long enough, so next week I think I will add that to my to-do list.  I will probably be stuck inside for the first part of the week anyway with the weather, they are calling for snow, so it’ll be a good week to do some pre-spring cleaning.  (Insert crying emoji here.)  We just had the first ice storm of the season and thankfully it wasn’t that bad in my surrounding area.  It is cold and it will be getting colder before the weekend is over – lows in the single digits on Monday and feels like 16 right now!  I think I will take advantage of the cold weather and wear my new coat that I got last winter on clearance.  I rarely wear winter coats, but this weather seems perfect for one.

That’s all I have for today.  I have some more computer stuff to do and then I think I shall take a short drive to the next county to check on the family vineyard.  Have a great weekend, everyone; stay warm!

  1. Love the blog! Give Yuki sometime for the new present. My dogs love theirs but it wasn’t immediate. Takes time to adjust to a new bed.
