February and Beyond

Of course the day I plan to be on the computer is the day my internet decides it won’t work. I think I have sorted out the connectivity issues and I am here with an overdue update on life. February has come and gone and we are cruising on into March at a similar pace. Another month half way behind us, and here are the highlights from the last month of my life.

I will start with the final resolution of the chandelier. It took almost two months to finally have a working light in my dining room. The one I ordered was missing pieces. The replacement was on back order. I had finally come to terms with the thought of having to find yet another light, but then it showed up. It is just as I thought it would be, perfect! Definitely worth the wait and the three failed attempts of light installation. My boy is a pro at hanging chandeliers and I am happy knowing I had a little part in that.

I did lots of cooking during February and tried to perfect a cornbread recipe. I haven’t gotten that down just yet, but I don’t mind to keep trying. We had lot’s of stews and soups to go with the cornbread attempts.

I have been doing a lot of decluttering in the last month. And I’ve even made it to the Goodwill with all the to get rid of stuff. I am pretty proud of myself for that. It usually only makes it as far as the garage where it stays for longer than I’d like to say. Speaking of garage, I am in the middle of organizing that and have already have made good progress. I have plenty of things to get rid of in there, but some may end up on Marketplace first.

I got Crocs. This is a big deal for me. And not just one pair, but two. I wasn’t sure my size so I got two to try and ended up keeping them both. Not sure if I ever mentioned it on here, but I have been dealing with awful plantar fasciitus pain in my foot since last fall. I read that Crocs can help with evenly distributing the weight on your feet. I was willing to try them to wear around the house. They are way better than flip flops so that’s a win. They shall be my house shoes. 😀

Since Stephen and Ethan have gotten into Ju Jitsu, it seems every weekend that there is a UFC event, we are watching. I know enough to tell you who some of the big name UFC fighters are, but mostly I am just watching to enjoy the company. We have been spending lots of time with the boy lately and I love it!

It’s been four years since I got certified as a nutrition coach and I had to recertify for the second time in February. I aced my test! I motivated myself to pursue that a little more this year. I got a new client signed up and I have been spending more time with that in the last month.

And speaking of clientele, we have filled our RV campground with full timers. Finally! I guess we just needed to fine tune our pricing. I’ve even had to turn a few renters away since we got tenants. So far so good! We left two spaces available for overnighters, so for any readers that are RV adventurers, you can rent here.

Last on the got done list, the vineyard has been pruned! It only took a couple of days with help and those days were perfect for working outside. I have yard work of my own to start at my house, and I am hoping to get started with some of it today.

I think I am out of hibernation mode now that spring seems to be showing up. My daily planner is starting to fill up and I am looking forward to more consistency in my day to day life. That’s my life recap for now. Thanks for still coming around and reading along.
