Dear Diary 2023: June So Far

I’d say good morning, but I just noticed the time and it’s already afternoon. How is everyone doing? Summer is close, but it’s pretty much been here all month. We’ve had some nice cool evenings and mornings for June lately, but not a lot of rain. I sure hope we start getting more soon cause all the things growing out there are in need of it.

June so far has been pretty laid back. I haven’t done anything too exciting expect for teaching a new class at the gym and helping a neighbor out. I have had two coffee/breakfast dates with friends and I have not cleaned my garage yet. I had that on my to do list for last week, and it’s no surprise to me that I haven’t done it, because I think that is the thing I dislike doing the most. It is probably because the garage never stays clean and it mostly involves just moving things around to a different place so I can sweep and feel like it all looks organized. I clean it just to make it an organized mess. I am starting to think we have too much stuff out there. Moving on…

I am happy to report that all my plants on the back deck are still alive and we have still been able to spend a good amount of time out there. Daisy and Aspen love the deck! ❤

I have put myself on my own nutrition plan and my goal is to lose 10 pounds by the end of August. This is my first week sticking to my plan, and so far it’s going great. Stephen has also decided it’s time to start paying more attention to what he eats and that makes it even easier for me. Also, he is getting into Ju Jitsu so that will be great for him as well! He is one week in to that.

And just because I have a really cool pic that the boy sent me, here’s a quick update on him. He is busy all the time with school and work, and when he is able he goes and does something fun. He told me this day he had more fun jumping off of hay than he did jumping off of rock cliffs at the river. I tried to recreate the edit that he did on his picture because the version he sent me was too small of a file but I couldn’t get the colors right, so here is his version. Love him!

And that is June so far. Today I have already done a coaching Zoom call and I have gotten to mess around on the computer and edit some pictures. Now, I am off to make lunch and get to the rest of my day. Oh, and my wrist feels the best it has felt in months today! I am so happy about that. I will refrain from shoveling mulch to replace with rocks for another few days so that I don’t ruin the feeling of having it feel good. 🙂
