I came to my computer to tackle the dreaded task of going though my email inboxes, I currently have over 8,000 messages and deleting them on the computer is much easier than on my phone. I noticed I had a comment notification on the blog so I decided to jump over here and make a post instead of go though emails. A much better decision I say!

Ah, July! One of the hottest months around these parts, and so far a pretty rainy one. We need it! I have finally gotten a start to the tasks of organization around here. I will thank my dad for this. He brought me a new-to-me wine rack that I planned to put in my sewing room closet where I already had two smaller wine racks. So I had to take everything out of the closet to fit the new one in and while I was at it, I had to move an old file cabinet out of there as well to make room. I went through years of paperwork. Years! I had receipts from the year 2000! It was nice to get to go through it all and many memories came to mind. Three trash bags later, my closet is organized and my file cabinet is up to date. Plus I have a new wine rack with spaces to fill.

In other news, I’ve kept all my outside plants alive, still. I am very happy about this. We haven’t been spending as much time out on the deck with it being full blown summer, but everything looks nice from the inside. Oh, and I have apples this year on my apple tree! I’ve never had this many and if the raccoons don’t steal them, I may have a small apple harvest. As for my blueberries, they are non existent and I am sad to say I don’t think we are even going to have any red muscadines this year. I hope I am wrong.

I have plans this upcoming week to go swimming, have to do that at least once during the summer. And if the weather cooperates, hopefully I will be able to go blueberry picking at one of the local farms. It’s not just me that didn’t have a good crop this summer, plenty of places were affected. From what I hear it had to do with that really cold snap that we had last winter.
Well, that is all I have to update on for now. Hope you all are getting to enjoy your summer and thanks for reading along.
