October is such a wonderful month, isn’t it? The weather starts to cool and the leaves change, and fall is really in the air. This year, October got a little confused and we had an early taste of winter during our month of fall. It was only a couple of days, so other than that October has been wonderful!

I started the month finishing up with the muscadine harvest and transferred all the working wine to where it will sit in the wine room for several months. The wine room is probably in need of a deep clean, so that will be something I add to my winter to do list. Harvest wasn’t that bad. I sold pretty much everything I picked and we will get a lot of wine out of what we kept for ourselves. Speaking of wine, got to have a nice ladies’ day out with some of my friends and we went to Crown Winery for the afternoon to catch up on life and such while sipping wine and eating pizza. If only it hadn’t rained that day it would have been perfect.

Stephen and I had another monthly trip to Nashville and stayed at a really cute Air B and B with its own wall mural. This time we were there to see a light exhibit at Cheekwood. It was the perfect night for it which is always great when you by tickets months in advance not knowing what the weather will do. I tried to be the photographer I thought I was and took my nice camera, but the iPhone pictures came out way better. Here are a few from the Bruce Munro Light exhibit.

Also this month we had ourselves a day trip to see some of the fall colors at a place I’ve been wanting to go for years. The Tennessee Natural Bridge just out of Waynesboro is located at a fitness spa and it’s a very short hike, not a hike at all really, to see this cool structure of nature. We got more than enough photos, and like the last time I took my good camera out, the iPhone took way better pics.

And lastly for things we did in October, we saw a pretty spectacular show at the Dixie Theatre, Illuminate. I love that we get to occasionally go to some really big name productions in a small town theatre only 30 minutes away.

Other than that, life has been pretty much the same. My day to day has slowed down quite a bit and I am finding extra time to do things for me, or to do the things I don’t really want to do like yard work and going though the garage. And I did have to replace my water heater this month so I went though all the washroom shelves since I had to take everything out for the new water heater. Many tubs and containers ended up in the garage to be put away out there. It is perfect weather to clean the garage so there are no excuses for me, right?
That was pretty much October. How was your month, anything exciting going on where you are? Thanks for stopping by and reading. Until next time. ❤
