Hello, hello! It’s been much longer than I thought it would be. How are you all, my wonderful readers? By this time I don’t even think my parents are still around. You all must have given up on ever hearing from me again. Any who, I am still here. The weeks have definitely turned to months. And I think a whole season might have even passed since I last updated. I will try to make my summer update not too long and hopefully not too boring. I’ve not been up to anything too exciting.

It has been a summer of rest for me. Since April I have been battling anemia. Actually, I think I have been battling it for much longer but I only just found out at the end of March. It was a big relief to finally have a reason for how awful I had been feeling. The exhaustion was the worst! It’s been a two steps forward, one step back kind of dance, but I am feeling so much better in the last month. I still have days where I get very tired but the little things are finally not wiping me out. Dare I say, I am feeling wonderful!
Summer has been hot and after all that spring rain we had, it got dry! We’ve had very little rain, the grass is looking brown, and I am so ready for fall. But before everything got dry, there were sunflowers. You can’t have summer without sunflowers, right? I just so happened upon a sunflower field one day while out on the back roads. Finding fields of flowers is something I always like to do. I had plans to go back, but missed the blooming window.

Now, let’s get to what’s been going on since last time…
May

Got the RV park gazebo and fire pit finished. The boy got it wired up and my dad got the picnic table done. It looks great out there! We also got some other little things done around there these last few months. Next on the list is to get it spring fed so that we have multiple water sources should we need them.

June

Spent some time in Nashville. Had brunch at Restoration Hardware, it was beautiful! The food was okay. Seemed like it could have been better considering the price and ambiance. It was good, but I was expecting something a little more than just basic. I will gladly go back just to admire the atmosphere though.

June was also the month for blueberries, blackberries, bunnies, and food trucks.

And I started a quilt. It took me about a month to make it. A friend and I got kits from quiltsforkids.org. They sent everything we needed. It was a fun way to spend time together and a great indoor summer activity. It was my fastest quilting project ever! I’m sure whoever gets our quilts will love them! ❤
July
UFC, grapevines, and sunsets.

Since Stephen and Ethan have been doing Ju Jitsu they are even more into UFC. When they saw that Fight Night was coming to Nashville they got tickets for the show. I thought about going, but thought it would be a fun dad and son trip for them so I stayed home and watched the fight from the living room with pizza. They had a much better view, don’t you think? I will be tagging along the next time. 😀

July had some beautiful sunsets! This was one of many.
That will wrap up life lately for me. I will save what’s been going on so far this month for my next post. I won’t let August get away from me without a recap. Thanks for stopping by. I joke that I may not have any followers left, but I do actually still get traffic over here so thanks for stopping by and reading! ❤
