So long, August! You flew by, but so has the whole year actually. I can’t say that anything too out of the ordinary happened during this month. Eat, sleep, clean, workout, check on the property, repeat.
I did get something from my ever growing wish list this month. A new piece of furniture that I had been eyeing for years. It’s not the original one that I had my eye one though, but rather it’s close cousin. It just so happened to be on sale the day I decided to finally get it. The ever so popular arch cabinet, or so says social media.
It shall be the liquor cabinet for all the fancy whiskeys and such that we aren’t going to drink. The only for special occasion bottles. We have not had any special occasions as of yet and we have added a few bottles so far. It’s gonna be fun finding neat looking bottles and rare finds to add to it as time goes on.
Something else we did that doesn’t happen every day, we went to a water park. And with the boy along with many of our friends. I think it was at least 10 years since we had been, me and the boy anyway. It has probably been 20 years since Stephen has gone to one. With it being such a rare trip for us, I didn’t even take a single picture there. We put the phones in the lockers for whole entire day. We had a good time!
What more shall I add about August? Oh, yes, we got this year’s vacation booked and mostly planned. I am so excited about this and two months will be here before we know it. We are going to Niagara Falls this year. We have never been and I have some detours planned for us along the way. I am very much looking forward to exploring places we have never been before. As of now, the boy is tagging along too. It’s going to be great!
Now, it’s the first day of September and I have a good amount of things planned so far for the start of the month. It’s almost muscadine season. I have a garage to clean. And for this week, it’s time to give the blog an overhaul, reluctantly. Things will be a little bit under construction over here in the next week or so. I noticed a few things weren’t loading correctly on the blog, and when I looked more into it I found that my current theme is no longer a supported WordPress theme. That means I need to update. I get so attached to a certain look with my blog and I hate to change anything up. But to keep from being an obsolete blogger, I will have to. And I am all about remaining relevant in my blogoverse. 😀
