October Turned into December

Hello, hello! I’m coming in a little late for 2025 aren’t I? I couldn’t finish the year out stuck in September. October, November, and December have whizzed by at an unbelievable speed! I have three months to catch up on over here for the last of the 2025 blogging season. I shall do my very best to condense. Just know, the vacation posts will be all their own so I will only be giving the highlights for those today. Let’s go back in time now to October, shall we?

October had to have been my absolute favorite month of the whole year! It was family vacation month and we had an awesome trip. We kicked our vacation off in Nashville, pit-stopped in West Virginia for the weekend, and then on to Buffalo, NY to see Niagara Falls. The timing for this couldn’t have been any better. The whole trip was perfect. You will be able to read all about it very soon as I am working on those posts. 🙂

Other highlights, and lowlights, of October:

Improving health. My anemia is finally getting better. I am this month just a touch under the anemic range. Some of my other markers are still needing improvement, but the main one that counts is going up. It’s been a struggle dealing with this, so I am happy to finally be seeing my way out of the horrible fatigue, and everything else I have been dealing with concerning that. Something that has been affected by all this is my hair. So in October I chopped a good amount off. That was a big deal for me. I can’t remember when I last cut it this short. I like it.

I ended up pulling or straining something on my knee this month, so spent most of it even more hobbly than usual. (Is hobbly even a word? Spellcheck doesn’t think so). Several months later, this problem is all better, thankfully. The extra time off from the gym here and there the last two months has helped.

Then the rest of the month was just cleaning and packing to get things ready for our trip.

November – the Northern Lights, again! And beach vacation month.

Yes, we saw the Northern Lights in West TN once more. I was on standby when I heard of the possibility, ready to drive down to the state park clearing as soon as they popped up from where I was. And that is just what I did. Unfortunately, the best and brightest time was while my guys were in their Ju Jitsu class. I saw the best part of it, but after class Stephen was still able to ride out with me and get one more look. And I got a cool picture.

November ended on the beach. Our third annual Fort Morgan, Alabama beach trip was great! The weather was cooler than the last two times, but is there ever a bad day on the beach? We all enjoyed every moment of it. All of us being, Stephen and me plus our two favorite four-legged friends.

December – You could call it the stay at home month? But we did have one more weekend trip before the year was over. We spent it in Nashville and saw the comedian Nate Bargatze. Had a wonderful time, we laughed and laughed. Our 2025 was great for live performances that is for sure! Hoping for some more shows to see in the next year (we are picky when it comes to concerts and live shows). As for the rest of December there was hunting for the guys, crocheting for me – I made a scarf with my free time. Probably too much eating out, but we had some good meals. I did do some cooking of my own and made something new, venison tater tot casserole that Stephen liked – he’s just a little picky if you didn’t know. 😀

The month also had plenty of beautiful sunsets and lots of time by the fire pit.

And thus concludes my 2025. Happy for all the memories and experiences of another year with all of those that I love!
