Good afternoon! It’s a nice 62 degrees this Monday here where I am. We’ve still had most days in the 70’s so this dip makes it feel more like fall and I love it! I had plans for today but they didn’t turn out as I wanted, so I am home and I have time to catch up over here. It’s been too long! I was talking to a friend the other day and caught myself saying, “When I used to blog…” I quickly corrected myself to say, “Well, I still do blog, but…” Ah, so that’s the story, I still do blog!

October has flown by, hasn’t it? A lot has been going on and I have been keeping myself very busy with all kinds of things. First off, I was on vacation. At the beginning of the month, Stephen and I spent a week in Alabama at Orange Beach. We had a wonderful time and I’ve only posted pics about it on Facebook. It’s next on my list for things to blog about, so expect that sometime before the year is over – I am kidding about that, I’ll have something up by the end of the week. I just need to put the pictures on my computer. (I am an old school blogger and I still write on a desktop. iPhones and iPads are great for some things, but not writing – agreed? 🙂 )

So, vacation was one week. The week after that I had wine to move that I started when I last wrote before our trip. Also, I am still picking muscadines. I’ve only been picking once or twice a week for orders that I have, but still picking, probably through the rest of this month.

Spent some time with friends. Coffee dates and hiking days. It’s beautiful this time of the year! Even got in some target practice.

And the most eventful activity of the last couple of weeks is weight training. I’ve gotten myself my own coach and trainer. I am starting week three today and I am very happy with myself for two straight weeks of training. I’ve been told by my coach to lay off on the high intensity cardio classes because it was doing nothing for me but keeping my body in a state of stress which was making it hard for me to progress in other areas. Deep down I threw a little fit about this because I’ve been taking that class 4 days a week for 6 years and I didn’t want to not take it. After two weeks I feel great and my weight training is making up for it just fine. I’ve been finding other ways to get my steps in, so lots of walks at the lake and extra hikes around the property have been helping, plus you can’t get views like this inside on a treadmill at the gym.

After this week, I will be back to a more laid back day to day which means way more time spent at home so I am preparing myself for the things I want to do then. I don’t think it will be hard to come up with ideas. I have a lot I can do and many things I am looking forward to.

That’s about it for a recap. I’m feeling refreshed and happy for the days to come. 🙂
