Well, hello there, all you wonderful internet users! It’s me, Erika. Remember me? Please tell me you remember me. (Sometimes I wonder if I remember me! ha ha.) I am alive and well, and this month has been quite busy. If I can’t find a few minutes to get on the computer first thing in the morning, it just doesn’t happen. I’m up at 6:30am – or a random 4:00am wake up call – and I am out of the house by 7:30 or 8; so, yeah, not a lot of time has been spent on the computer lately.
What have I been up to some of you may have wondered? Well, let me remind you that September is muscadine season for me, and this year I’ve been picking about 5 days a week. This week there was a little less picking because it was time to start making wine, but pretty much all I do is wake up, pick muscadines, eat lunch, bag muscadines, meet people who want to buy muscadines, then go the gym, eat dinner, and catch up on other things until bedtime. That’s been my life lately. And I have photographic evidence of such.
If you remember, I did a day in my life post last August, and I was planning to make it a yearly thing: every year on August 24th I had plans to post what I was up to hour by hour. Guess what? I remembered and on August 24th 2021 I documented my day, hour by hour, and never posted it on the blog. I did post about it on Instagram and had intended to do the same here, but the days turned into weeks and August 24th, 2021 was just to far away to be a relevant blog post. So I did it again on Sunday. A nice productive day of picking and honey harvesting – the honey was all Stephen but it will live on here on the blog for years to come. Without any more explanations, here’s what my life has looked like, and specifically what it looked like on Sunday, September 26th, 2021:

And that was the day. Let me add a few words to go with my captions. It was probably one of the best picking days we’ve had. We got 15 flats in about 2.5 hours. The picking tarps were awesome, and it was a family affair. Always love it when we get to see the boy and that nephew of ours also. ❤
If you are a real life friend on Facebook, or Instagram follower, you get to see these pics again. If you are a real life friend without Facebook or Instagram, hope you enjoyed the glimpse of my day. Same goes to those of you who are just followers of this here blog, hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to. 🙂
And here was what I didn’t update about August, the whole month in video clips. You’ll hear from me again soon.
