In addition to the blog, I have neglected my nice camera even longer and something unbelievable happened…
I forgot how to use my camera! What, I was dumbfounded. There I was about to take a group picture of all my friends, they were waiting, smiling, and I didn’t know what to do. The amount of times I have put my camera on timer mode was at least infinity plus one, but this time I was clueless. How did that happen? I stood there for a moment pushing all the buttons and none of them were doing what I needed them to do. Stephen was about to google it, then it came to me. Whew! In my defense, I finally had started using the self timer on my phone app so the actual buttons on the camera hadn’t been touched in several years. But still! Where did my camera muscle memory go? Isn’t everything like riding a bike, I guess not. I won’t let this happen again, and this summer will be a summer of photography for me. š
Big sigh, with that bit of information out of the way, let me get to the rest of the month.

May has been wonderful! We have spent the month on the back deck almost every single night. I finally found the perfect table and chairs to go with my umbrella, and we’ve been dining al fresco nightly, except the few times it rained. Unfortunately, these wonderful evenings have abruptly come to an end I think, as the last two nights the no see ums finally showed up. The mosquitoes weren’t that bad, but the no see ums are annoying! It will have to be solo lunch on the deck now, if I can stand the heat.

Stephen and I went to a graduation party on Sunday. Another child I had the honor of helping to teach has finished school and moved on. Another very clear reminder of how fast the years are going, and how much older I am getting. We had fun! Lots of food, as always, and it was really just a wonderful day with all my friends.

I have bottled more wine. The cellar is getting stocked up nicely again. And it seems that there is finally more wine that is good than not down there.

And lastly for May, this was the month we decided to make an RV campground out at the property. Our clearing guy, AKA my dad, is already busy getting the plan in motion. Stay tuned for exciting things happening over at Cavia Creek.
That is all I have to say about May.
