Hello, hello!  Like I said on Facebook earlier this week:

I promise I haven’t abandoned the blog completely. Summer goal number one, get back to a regular posting schedule. Summer break starts in one week, and I just have to make it through two more days of teaching/grading… Mostly grading. 😩

So, yeah, that is what I have been up to.  I did take pictures for an upcoming blog post, and I did think about blogging a whole lot this week, but as far as sitting down and doing it, it didn’t happen.  Until now, that is.  Woo hoo!  It’s Friday, my week is over and summer vacation is just about to start.  It’s been a long week, let me tell ya, but I am happy it is finally over.  I spent most of it sitting at my makeshift school desk grading papers, averaging grades, and getting all that end of year paperwork in order.  Also this week, another trip to Nashville to finally get my phone back to working 100%.  I’d been having battery issues, and my phone was basically dying at random times throughout the day for no reason.  It had started to become very frustrating, and my phone had become very unreliable, so I stopped into the Apple store and got a new battery.  Problem solved, and I now don’t need to drop any money on a new iPhone anytime soon.  I am very happy about that.

While I was there, I dropped my boy and his bff (aka, the cousin) off at Jump Street for a two hour trampoline session.  We had planned afterwards to go search the city streets of Nashville for wall murals, but ran out of time.  Next time, I told the boy, and we will make it a wall mural hunting day only.  I am looking forward to it.  No, really, I am.  I love wall murals and I was so very happy to find out a whole bunch of them are just down the road.  (Down the road if you think an hour and a half drive is down the road, ha ha.)

Moving on, it really seemed like a long week to me.  This is both good and bad.  Good because usually the days just seem to fly by, and it is nice every so often to have those weeks that creep along where you can enjoy the moments a little more as the day slowly passes by.  And here are a few of those moments that I managed to capture on my now fully powered iPhone:

The only me-made outfit of the week.
My Jump Street view.
Neighborhood walks
More neighborhood walks because I am trying to keep up with my FitBit friends.
A quick stop at Goodwill while my boy was at the gym next door. Unfortunately, nothing here fit.
Just call me your neighborhood seamstress. I am going to attempt to fix a pair of pants for my neighbor’s grandson. Wish me luck, and these won’t be the hooks I will be using. I’m going for the more professional kind, the harder to do kind.
Yes, I will gladly share half of the cupcake my guy brought home from work, even despite the fact that it is jelly filled.

There you have it, a few views and thoughts from my week.  One downside to it feeling like such a long week, I am well tired right now, and I think I am about ready to call it a night.  I would like to thank you all again for sticking with me during this blog slump (aka I’m too busy to upload photos and sit down at the computer for more than 10 minutes at a time).  If you’d like, feel free to say something in the comments, just so I know some of you are still around.  Mom and dad, I know at least you guys are still reading.  🙂

That’s it for tonight.  Have a wonderful weekend, and to those who are starting summer break, let the summer fun begin!!!

  1. I’ve been off of my blog too. A business owner of the Village Bakery wants to write I guess plug on baking three different kinds of dog treats. John Hughes included 3 easy recipes so I’m inspired again. I went live with today with it on Dog Leader Mysteries.

Glad you have started once more. Enjoyed your update on grading student papers & the photo of the summer dresses that did not fit🙃 most of my shopping ends up being “not a good fit” yet it is fun to have 15 or so to check out possibilities, right?
