Hello there! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it?
How is the world where you are this fine, partly sunny, Thursday? Me, I’ve been better. It’s mid-February, and in the last two days, I’ve gotten a head cold. Allergies, perhaps? Either way I am stuffy with sinus pressure and have had a slight headache on and off since the end of last week. It was this same time last year that I felt exactly the same way.
Stuffiness aside, every thing else is going well. Except I may have, once again, cut my bangs a little too short and am anxiously awaiting when I look more like myself. Any who…
Things since I was last on here have been about the same: school, clean, cook, workout, repeat. I haven’t been taking pictures and I haven’t been spending too much time working on the blog. And actually, I’m kind of stumped with things blog related at the moment. But I did revisit my Cavia Creek site briefly in these last couple of weeks. I found that I actually have a draft post over there just needing a little revising from the last time I worked on it. It would be nice to have a little more free time.
Highlights of my life since I last wrote:
Stephen and I cleaned the garage. And I mean completely cleaned it out. We had a literal truck load of trash and everything. Because of this, we now have a working heavy bag set up. The boy was given it last summer, we just didn’t have a place for it so it had been sitting in the middle of everything, partly disassembled.
I did our taxes. That was not fun, and we won’t be doing anything else with those until April. Enough said.
I made a dress. I love the material and the pattern, but it’s too baggy at the top, so I will have to take the bodice apart and fix it because I like it too much to leave it how it is.
The sun shined, it warmed up a little bit, and it stopped raining for a few minutes. I wore a brightly colored dress to celebrate.
Stephen and I started up again with a weight lifting program, and we’re going full speed ahead. Or, more like one step in front of the other. I’m also working on my patience as I slowly work this weight off that I’ve managed to put on over the last year or so.
Ethan has started working on ACT prep. Excuse me while I go and cry for a minute at the thought of my boy growing up…
And that’s all that’s been going on around here. I’m about to get a start at pruning muscadine vines, and we are planning on a nice family fun weekend. What have you been up to? Until next time. ❤
