Shoe Save Twenty-one

These shoes are three things that most of my shoes are not.  One, they are pretty.  Two, they are high.  And three, they are most definitely girly.  Also, they happen to be a size too big.  Remember how I always sometimes write about how I can never find any shoes in my size, and if I did I might have nicer ones?  Well also, in case I have never mentioned it, I have never been a fan of girly shoes for myself.  I don’t know why, there is just something about high heels that has never been me.  (I guess it still isn’t me, because I still don’t have high heels, I have wedges.)

These are from Charlotte Russe and I got them in May.  This was their debut and let me tell you, I was very nervous about wearing them.  When I got them, I tried on almost all of the shoes at the store to see if maybe I could find a snug-for-a-size-6 that might fit a sized-5 person.  Score!  They definitely do not feel like a 6, and a very stylish insole makes them feel much like a size 5.5  – which I sometimes can wear.  However, I do not like drawing attention to myself.  Really, I DO NOT, so I knew the morning I put them on, I was sure to get several comments just because these are not the style of shoes I ever wear!

The store had a sale going on when I got these and they were buy one get one half off.  These only cost me, I mean my guy, a mere $30.00 and if I wanted to, I could have gotten another pair for only $15.00.  This was the only style that fit me in the whole store, so my choice was the purple version or the orange version.  And would you believe I went back into the store contemplating the orange pair?  Now that would have been sure to draw attention – orange suede-ish, girly shoes, on me!  I left with only one pair.

Any regrets?  Maybe…

Check back next Tuesday for more on my Shoeper Shoe Challenge progress.
