Yes, it is another skirt I have thrifted, and another skirt I have here on the blog to show you today. I have tried and tried to get rid of this skirt, but haven’t yet. I guess it has a little bit of a history with me, and try as I might, it always gets removed from the donation pile and hung back up in the closet.
What’s not to like? It is Limited brand, silk, and only cost me a few dollars. It was the first thing I bought from my local Goodwill when we moved to this town, and it makes me think of how happy I was to be somewhere other than the place we lived before. It has seen many a night out, and always can be counted on when needing to look somewhat pulled together. Plus, it wears well in the hot, humid summers. And as I found this day, it isn’t too bad in the cold, as long as a good pair of tights are worn underneath.
An old friend spotted it at the store, and I initially bought it just because; I wasn’t too crazy about it, but I didn’t want to leave the store empty handed. I never expected to keep it as long as I have, but I have to say, I like this skirt a little more every time I wear it.
As for the title of my post, this road, Smith Rd, seems to be a perfect location for taking Thursday Thrift photos when skirts are involved. I have taken a few photos here already, and it makes for a great stopping point while out and about on one of my weekly drives. Thanks to my boy for not grumbling too much this time as I asked him to get out and take a few pictures. 🙂
How about you, what thrifted items are you wearing today?
