I was on time this month with this post, but you will never know now.  Here I am already two weeks late getting it published, even though it has been sitting in my drafts folder this whole time.  I have several reasons for this, but never mind them now.  As are my recent thoughts on these Thursday Thrift posts, better late than never, I suppose.

thrifted fashion

Oct TT3

My thrifted item of the month is a pair of hand-me-down corduroy pants.  Pants, I know, are never anything special to me, but I am particularly fond of any kind of pants that aren’t jeans.  I still can’t find a pair of jeans that I 100% like, but until I find that one special pair, I have several non-jean articles of clothing that will do just fine.  And I happen to really like corduroy.

What better time of the year to wear a nice pair of pants, than in the early days of fall.  And let me tell you, corduroy is never Tennessee summer appropriate.  At least not in my opinion.  So let me say it again, I am very happy that it is finally fall.

I will be back again taking about thrifted clothes in a couple more weeks.  Until then, tell me, what is your favorite season to dress for?

Sweater weather, harvesting, and changing leaves make me oh-so-very happy!  As I hear them say around these parts, “Happy fall, y’all!”

  1. I am glad I am not the only person not to like jeans. I have never owned any but recently my best friend got me to try some on during a shopping trip and I found that they were not comfortable and I didn’t like the image (I did a post on the subject)

I have been a skirts/dresses only person again since May as the weather has been warm but will start to wear trousers again soon. Most of mine are black office style suitable for work but I am quite keen to get some casual pairs as well and corduroys may be a good bet.

  2. I adore corduroy. I actually picked up a corduroy skirt thrifting about a week ago, and posted an outfit post on it yesterday! I love dressing for fall & spring. Both are perfect weather, and both have lovely colors. Happy Thursday. 🌻
