Also known as the first week that actually felt like summer break – it was still just as busy as ever though. This week was all about summer fun, and I am definitely feeling the effects of it, I’ve been exhausted! Too much time in the sun and still not enough sleep I am thinking.
We went to both the water park and the pool this week, plus two mornings spent out doing yard work: one at the home front and one at the vineyard. I even got my first touch of color – red that is. But it’s faded nicely through the week so I don’t suspect I will be adding burnt to my description of feels.
Other than the time spent in the water and outside working, I’ve only been putting clothes away and catching up on laundry while indoors. And then any time left after that, I’ve been found at the gym. Unfortunately, my first week off spent sewing hasn’t panned out as I had wanted, but I am hoping to do something about this tomorrow. My boy works and my guy will be busy with his own hobbies, so I will have the house to myself and the school/sewing room just might be only a sewing room by then. One of the first things I like to do on summer break is put everything school related away and rearrange the school tables so that our extra room only looks like a computer/sewing/exercise room. On Friday, I had high hopes that this would get done, but as it is now Saturday night and I am blogging instead, probably not. Perhaps I will get the urge to rearrange before I dive into my next project, or maybe not. Either way, I’m still planning on starting something new.
Over all, the week was great. I have a feeling that summer break is going to go by a lot faster than I would like though. I wish there was something I could do about that, but I am afraid it is what it is, and I will just have to make the best of every minute I get. I am looking forward to the rest of this weekend and a little down time. I seriously need to catch up on several things. Right now my blog, my camera, and sleep are on the top of my list. I’ve already started some with my camera. These pics are a few I took this week with my zoom lens. I may not have mastered all my camera has to offer yet, but I am continually working on it.
Until next time, have a great rest of your weekend! Thanks for stopping by.
