A Belated 18th Friday of 2017

Hello, internet!  Here I am with my regularly scheduled, albeit a couple days late, weekly run down of my life.  Last week seems like so long ago now that I am actually sitting down to write about it, and there was quite a bit going on.  First off, my niece’s wedding: it was beautiful!  A small, mostly family affair, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.  It will definitely be an occasion to remember forever.  More specifics and plenty of photos of that at a later time, as I haven’t even properly gone through any of my pics yet, but here is one picture of the newlyweds that my boy took and that was on my phone.  So happy for them!

The rest of last week was a lot like normal.  Plenty of cooking, cleaning, teaching, etc.  I was involved with some wedding prep since I had my own wine tasting station at the wedding, and I spent some time getting wine bottled and stuff together for that.  I also helped a couple of my dear friends with the flower arranging.  Although I say help, I didn’t do much at all, just thread wires through roses, which I am sure was a help as it was tedious, time consuming work and having an extra set of hands made it a little less time consuming for the two of them.

Then there was some yard work.  My boy had his first go at mowing in the vineyard while I fertilized the new rows of plants.  It was sunny and wonderful this particular day.  Unfortunately cloudy, wet, windy, and cool for most of the rest of the week.

Oh, and guess what else happened last week?  The start of Me Made May!  I haven’t said anything about it this year, as I always seem to wear exactly the same things every Me Made May in which I have participated.  This year I decided I will post on Instagram when I wear something that I have made, and then maybe share the pics over here if I have any to show come the end of the week.  I have no goals of what to wear this time around, but maybe a few things will get worn that don’t usually on a regular basis.

And that is what I did last week.  This week has me going already, but the great thing about it is that it is the second to the last week of school and almost all my boy’s work is done for the year.  I have plenty of grading still but it’s almost at an end for this school year, and summer break is just around the corner…
