I am gonna use a little help from my iPhone for this week’s post.  Instead of the 51st week of 2017 it should say My Week According to my Camera Roll…

Sunday:

My wonderful family of three headed to Nashville this rainy Sunday morning.  We were ready and willing to deal with the crowds of Opry Mills and the wait for parking at the Green Hills Mall.  We had a nice time despite all the people, and even found a place to park after awhile of driving around in circles at Green Hills.  The food was worth it, and the day out with the family was as well.  We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and as always, did NOT have any cheesecake.  With all that food, we never have room for anything else.  I think the last time we had cheesecake was when we went to Arrington Vineyards.

Monday:

School at home for the boy and I.  Also, lots of house work and I was trying to find out what to do with these wild rose hips I was sent from Ireland.  I was thinking to make tea, but a dear friend suggested making a tincture.  I think I will do that.  Rose hips are very high in vitamin C, and this time of the year it is greatly needed.  Just need to get some vodka to make the tincture…

Tuesday:

Had a nice day!  School, the gym, and a home cooked dinner.  I can’t remember now what I made for dinner, but I’m sure it was good.  I don’t remember any complaints anyway.  Mittens the cat is still around and tonight was the night before her scheduled spay on Wednesday morning.  Little did we know it would not be happening just yet.

Wednesday:

One of my new favorites. Serenity and patchouli have been diffusing in the diffuser and I love it!

The cat went to the vet and instead of getting spayed, got medicine for a cold she’s had since she showed up in our garage.  The vet put her surgery off for a week and turns out she’s a bit older than we thought.  She’s about a year old, says the vet, and I am wondering if she hasn’t been fixed already.  We shall know for sure next Wednesday.  Another good day it was, and day number two back at the weight stack at the gym.  I didn’t lose all my strength in my weightlifting absence after all!

Thursday:

My guy decided to take a couple of days off this week and since it was planning on raining all day Friday, he and the boy hunted this morning.  I got up shortly after and spent the entire day racking wine and transferring all my wine making notes to my official wine making notebook.  It was another great day despite the dark and dreariness of it all.

Friday:

Nothing but rain and clouds, but my guy was home so we all slept in, on a Friday.  I got over 7 hours of sleep and it felt so good to be well rested.  I spent the rest of the day doing my usual Friday stuff the best I could with Stephen home.  Got most of the house cleaned, made the last Wal-Mart trip for the week, and spent some time looking for kindle books and real books to order.  My niece is expecting and I’ve been asked to be present at the birth.  I am so very happy for the invite and thought it would be a good idea to read up on what I can do to help her when her little one makes his appearance.  I’m excited and now have more to sew for.  (I did a little bit of sewing for my boy when he was born, but it’s been awhile.)  April will be here before I know it.

That is where I am now.  It was a busy and productive week.  I’m happy for the extra family time this weekend and I am happy for this year’s winter break with not much school related stuff to do.  I’ve been on top of grading and it’s going to be well worth it when I have a couple of weeks to myself.  And that is all I have for you all this evening.  Have a great weekend!  I will be back soon…

Don't leave yet! Tell me what you think.
