Good evening, all! Another week has passed, so another week of catching up over here. I’m a little disappointed in my blogging self this week. I had hoped to have a little more time for other posts, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out as planned. I’m all set for the upcoming weeks though, as I’ve recently received a new handy dandy blog planner. I am very excited to get to filling it out. That will be another post for another day; so for now, let me get back to where I left off: last Sunday…
Sunday, February 25th: Today we didn’t have much to do. I was very happy about that. We slept in, had coffee and enjoyed the morning hours at home. Around noon time, Stephen and I headed out to the property as per usual on a Sunday. Not much going on just needed to make a quick stop. We were back in no time and I found my way to my sewing room for a proper Sewing Sunday. I had already cut out the project so just need to sew it all together. Easy peezy, and had it not been for the fact that I ran out of thread, I would have had the whole thing done after only a few hours of work. The boy, he worked; and Stephen, he enjoyed the lazy Sunday at home. This evening we went to town for dinner and then spent the rest of the evening at home hanging out.
Monday, February 26th: Mondays have become the busiest days of the week. The boy and I only have a short time at home before photography class, the gym, and work for him. He got an early start at school before we left and then finished up just before he had to head to work. Me, I ran into Walmart and got some thread so I was able to finish that dress before Ethan got back from the gym. I made lunch, he left, and then I took a few pictures of my newest dress before starting on that mountain of laundry. The days have been nice, and I thought spending an evening on the back deck would be better than working out and Stephen agreed. I also was stuck at home anyway waiting for the UPS man who had a must sign package for me, but he never showed up. The boy was bummed as the package was for him, and instead of spending the evening on the back deck drinking wine, Stephen spent that time on the phone trying to get a hold of UPS. The deck night will have to be another time.
Tuesday, February 27th: Plans changed a little this week and I didn’t need to travel for school today. It was an easy day as far as that went and I had a little extra time before my friends left to get a haircut. Finally, I got more than a little bit cut off. It feels a little weird, but I’ll be used to it after I wash it a couple of times. We got to spend some time on the back deck this evening which was great cause the rain that is coming for the rest of the week is going to keep up inside I know for sure.
Wednesday, February 28th: The day we paid property taxes. Also, the day it started raining for almost two days straight. We had school, we got wet, and I managed to avoid a handful of pot holes on our way to and from Jackson. I absolutely despise pot holes and my neck of I-40 is absolutely covered in them. I hate them I tell ya!! This evening I made it to the gym and today my FitBit died. It was a sad day for me as far as that went. I charged it last night and it didn’t charge. This morning when I tried again it started rebooting over and over again. I tried charging it in a different location with a different adapter but nothing. I really missed it at the gym tonight. I spent some time on the phone with their customer service and there’s good and bad news. Good news, it’s been deemed defective and will be replaced. Bad news, I bought it from Zulily and they are not ‘legal’ retailers of FitBit so I have to go through them to get another. I thought for sure that wasn’t going to happen but I was wrong. They will replace it when they get more FitBits in stock, but there is no telling when that will be. I learned something with this though: don’t buy high priced items that might have to be replaced under warranty from Zulily. My guy said I didn’t have to wait and he’d just get me another, but now I am debating which one to get.
Thursday, March 1st: I woke up with a blogging plan. I was going to take a picture every hour and document my day. I did it but then this evening it got late so I wasn’t able to upload the pics and make my post. Besides this, it was a busy day at home mostly. It rained all of yesterday and all through the night. The sun finally came out late today, and I revisited that mountain of laundry that I had put off finishing the last couple of days. I also graded some papers. Dinner was done early, chili, and I made it to the gym for a good couple of hours. Oh, I forgot, UPS did finally come and the boy got the new phone he’s been wanting. Now I am the cell phone dinosaur of the family, but I am fine with that. Actually, I am hoping I don’t have to replace my phone for awhile yet. That was about it for today, except my FitBit finally got charged up. I had fun trying to catch up on some steps. I also tried to get to bed early this evening as it’s going to be an early day tomorrow.
Friday, March 2nd: Up and out of the house by 4:30 am. The boy and I gave my dad a ride to the airport in Nashville and since we were there, Ethan and I made a day of it. First stop was downtown to find some wall murals before the city got going. There were lots of walkers and joggers around the area where we were so it wasn’t intimidating walking around downtown in the early morning. We stuck to the Gulch area and found a few more murals that we hadn’t seen before. I’ve got plenty of pictures that will be showing up on their own post soon, so no more about that. From here we headed south to Franklin to a new trampoline place we found. It was just down the road from our regular one but way cooler! The boy had a lot of fun. I had fun watching. One of these days I am going to join him, but I just need to remember to wear the right thing. It was a long day and we were home by 4. I cheated for dinner and got something from Costco. Everyone was happy and it was an early night for me. I think I was asleep by 8:30.
I am going to end with that. I am noticing that it is very easy to exceed 1,000 words with these weekly recaps. Not sure if anyone stuck around to read the whole thing, but if you did, thanks. 🙂 I’ll be back again soon.
