Hello, hello!  It’s never too late to catch up on the blog, right?  I’ve been away from home and away from a decent computer, and I just can’t get into blogging from an iPad, sorry.  It’s been almost three weeks, hasn’t it?!  Maybe my longest break.  There is no need to worry because aside from our trip to Branson, you have not missed out on much.  The not much is what I will be catching up on today, and the Branson trip I will get done by the end of the weekend.  I almost thought about skipping the ‘weeks of not much’ altogether, but I’ve been on a roll this year and have almost solely documented my week by week over here.  Really, that’s about all I’ve blogged about this year, isn’t it?

Now, let’s rewind to week 42…

Monday, October 15th:

Back to my regular weekly activities.  This week started off in a much better way than the last one ended.  I’ve got a mile long to-do list this week and I’m getting a good start with my regular routine.  Top of the list, DMV in Jackson to renew another license and then home to do laundry.  I somehow managed to skip this for a good part of last week.  I’m now where I don’t have enough hangers for my clothes when it’s all clean, so I am not usually in a hurry to get it all clean.  I seriously need to go through my closet.  Or, get more hangers.

The boy has about half a week’s worth of school to do, which isn’t much at all considering his work load is pretty minimal as it already is.  I may put him to work with some house stuff.

Tuesday, October 16th:

Today I put the house stuff on hold and went to visit my friend that was in the hospital last week.  We didn’t do much other than talk and enjoy one another’s company.  It was a nice day.  But, it was also the day this year that was cold enough to affect the tire pressure in my car.  This happens once a year and when it does, it’s a pretty good indication to me that fall and the cooler weather has arrived.  On a car related note, I have decided to not sell my car after all.  I’m not really ready to get rid of her just yet.  And she’s still in better shape than any car I could find for the price I want to sell her for anyway.  That was easy.  Plus, no one was really interested in buying it.  So, I shall Mini on…

Wednesday, October 17th:

The house cleaning has gone in to overdrive.  I am sweeping, mopping, and trying to dust everything this week.  There are lots of distractions.  Today, it was having to take Yuki to the groomers and me having to run errands in town before next week.  I also had to go to the post office to get our mail delivery put on hold for next week.  While I was at it, I picked up some passport renewal forms.  Then back home to continue where I left off.  Will my house ever be clean?!

Thursday, October 18th:

Today and tomorrow look a lot like yesterday.  Only now, I am starting to work on packing, but not before a quick trip out for early voting.  I voted, for the second time in my life; I feel kind of adultish.

Friday, October 19th:

The house is clean!  The boy is camping for a couple of days and I am almost completely done with packing.  Also, we got our car back yesterday so no need for a rental next week, and I got it cleaned and ready to travel.  All is well right now.

Saturday, October 20th:

Met up with our camping friends and spent the day at the state park.  It was a great day, and I love this time of the year.  I am now on vacation mode and will be going out of town tomorrow with a clean house.  Woo hoo!  ❤

Fast forward to this week, and I won’t go on and on too much:

Monday, October 29th:

Vacation is over and I’ve got papers to grade.  Got the mail picked up and went to the grocery store for a few things for the week.  On my way home, made a quick stop at the bank and my car died in the parking lot.  What a start to the week back!  It was only the battery, good thing, and once we took care of that everything else was smooth sailing.  Back to working out, back to laundry, back to everyday life basically.

Tuesday the 30th and Wednesday the 31st:

School is pretty much all I did these two days.  Made it to the gym in the evening and I am trying to be enthusiastic about being back in the kitchen cooking and such.  Maybe my least favorite chore, cooking.  Pretty sure you can call cooking a chore.

Thursday, November 1st:

My self-imposed day off this week.  I went to a friend’s house to make a quilt block for another group baby quilt that we are making.  I missed out on the quilting fun while I was away last week, so I needed to catch up.  I’m pretty sure I am safe to show the block on my blog, not all my friends know I weekly share bits of my life online.  🙂

After this, I came home.  It was rainy and the temperature was dropping by the hour.  I made myself do a stretching workout, I am awfully sore this week and can’t seem to sleep comfortably since we got back.  This evening, I met my guy at the gym and changed my mind on my original dinner plans to nachos.  It’s my favorite thing to make, easy and delicious.

Friday, November 2nd:

Here I am now, it’s early enough that my day hasn’t really started.  The boy is still asleep and Stephen has left for work.  My house is fairly clean (I should probably dust), and I’ve got a little bit of laundry left to do from the trip.  In a couple of hours I am heading to Jackson to meet someone who wants to buy some frozen muscadines and the boy and I will probably get lunch.  Then, I’m thinking I’ll do a quick clean up around the house and hope for enough leftover nacho fixings for dinner.  Or, I will just buy something from Sam’s this afternoon – better idea, yes!

This weekend we have bees to check on and we need to start working on winterizing the hives.  I have a few papers left to grade before I have to get report cards out next week, and I am dying to get into the sewing room.  I got new material on vacation, and I have a collaboration request with my Etsy shop to start working on.  So much to do!  But, I enjoy every minute of it.  Except sometimes I don’t enjoy the cooking minutes when I don’t know what to make.

That’s all from me, for now.  Consider yourselves caught up.  I’ll have the vacation post up very soon.  Thanks for reading!
