Dear Diary 2019: July so Far…

My morning has quickly gotten away from me, but I didn’t want to go another week without a life update.

Surprise, surprise!  Not much to update…

Even though I feel like I’ve been busy, nothing too crazy has been going on with me lately.  Lots of running around though and that is quite time consuming.  Last week was the busiest as far as that went and this week it just seemed I had a time sensitive schedule for several days.  I’ve not been getting enough sleep lately and that’s kind of caught up to me.  Our evenings have been very late.  I think part of this has to do with recent after the gym walks at the lake, which kind of pushes the whole night back some, but I will take it.  Even despite the heat, it’s a wonderful way to end the day, plus get in some extra steps.

In the last couple of weeks I’ve starting to think of the upcoming school year without my boy.  I am still gonna be teaching with my school group, only slightly modified for the first nine weeks due to a very productive looking vineyard.  After talking with the family though, I have decided this will be my last year teaching.  I am sad about this, I’ve been doing it since years before I even had my boy, but I am also happy.  It’s a reality check that life really is moving on.  We’ve been talking about some other moving on things these last couple of weeks as well, and have come up with a rough draft for a two year plan, give or take.  A lot can change in two years, but also two years goes by like nothing these days.  Still taking it one day at a time…

And today, the boy is cleaning the jet ski this very moment, I have a house to clean up, and groceries to buy.  I’d like to make it to the gym, but one minute at at time for today, ha ha.

Well he was cleaning the jet ski. Guess he got distracted.

We are planning on our annual lake day this weekend and we have a trip planned for the next.  Summer is slipping away, just like I knew it would.  I’m also planning on cleaning out my muscadine freezer this next week and getting it empty for the upcoming harvest, probably the biggest one yet and we thought we did something to make it a little less.  It didn’t work.  I just hope I can sell as much as or more than I did last year.  I may have muscadines coming out of my ears in a bout a month or so.

Thanks, Mom and Dad, for the peaches.  ❤

That’s about it.  See, nothing too different going on.

It’s a hot summer for the bees too.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
