And April Slowly Moves On…

Hey there all you blog readers!  It’s be a couple of weeks, but I am still here and still doing about the same as I was last time.  This last month and a half has not been the most exciting, as I am sure it’s been that way for most of us.  I am starting to miss my normal routine.  My workouts have been few and far between lately.  Even though I tend to cook all the time, I am somehow very tired of home cooking.  My boy is getting very bored at home everyday, almost all day.  And I just want to go out and do something that doesn’t involve a real quick trip into Walmart.  Speaking of which, every time I go there it’s more and more annoying.  And the worst of the last couple of weeks, we had a late frost and the grape vines suffered.

The greenery eventually turned brown.

But, there is light at the end of this ‘forced’ stay-at-home tunnel.  Our local coffee shop will be open tomorrow and I think I may just go find a corner to sit in for a few hours while sipping someone else’s coffee and eat a blueberry muffin just so I can get out of the house – all while staying in a secluded corner, of course.  I did get to spend some time outside this week which was a nice change and there was some friendly faces around as well, so that made it even better.  We had one night of someone else’s cooking also so that was nice.  I bottled more good wine, I finished a dress, and finished reading Little Women, the book I started when this whole lock down started.  Not everything has been that bad, really.  🙂

A shirt dress with a collar and buttons!

I cleaned out my closet and even tried to rearrange it, but I will need some new shelves for the rearranging so that part is on hold until IKEA opens.  I’ve been making my way through shelves and old paperwork and getting rid of trash and things that never get used, so that is good.  Also, I cleaned the garage and should I feel like it, there’s a perfectly good heavy bag out there to use for a home workout.  I’m also ready to clean out the muscadine freezer from last year in a few weeks so I can use my new piece of wine room equipment.  This will soon be holding 55 gallons of fermenting grapes!

That’s about all that is going on with me.  I am excited for things to start reopening and my normal routine to resume.  Now to you, what’s something you miss doing lately? Or what’s the first thing you want to do when things open up and you’re able to?  Let me know in the comments.

As always, thanks for reading.

Erika
