Good morning, or almost good afternoon by the time this post will finally get published. I’m finding myself, once again, in a wonderful mood for a Monday after a great weekend with friends and festivities! We went to another graduation party this weekend and had a fun time. It’s crazy to me to see all these ‘children’ I’ve known for so long to turn more and more into adults before my very eyes! Where does the time go?!
We were home late and it was a very busy weekend, not much down time at all, so I am giving myself a pass on a slow start to today. Since I last updated, things have pretty much been the same. My main focus is finding a new routine. No more papers to grade, no more travelling for school meet-up days, and no more specific time schedules. But, those schedules are what made my day to day and I need some structure in my life for productivity. A ‘take it easy’ daily mentality makes me feel very worthless. (Part of the reason why I have a hard time giving myself a free day during the week with nothing to do. I did do that once a week ago, and it was very strange.) I need to stay busy, but at the same time I can get easily side-tracked with what I need to do and what I want to do, so I need a schedule. That has been what I’ve been working on: scheduling, planning, and personal goals.
That being said, that I no longer have a regular routine, I do kind of have one this week. I have a very early morning tomorrow and some catching up with what I miss out on today and tomorrow for the rest of the week. And, I am pretty sure the blackberries are about ready to be picked, so that is gonna be a daily chore here also. But for today, I am going to try and let myself take it easy. There is plenty of cleaning up from the weekend, and several errands to run, but I’m on free time and I’m not gonna feel bad about it.
I guess that is all I really have to say today, and it really was nothing much, but checking in to say I’m still around for those long time followers. I appreciate your loyalty to my often ramblings of nothing much. ❤
