Good morning to you all! How are things where everyone is? All is well here in West Tennessee, and after a pretty hot, humid, and rainy day yesterday; the sun is shining and the wind has blown some of that humidity away for today. A perfect day to do yard work, if I were so inclined. But, it’s also a perfect day to catch up over here on the blog.
I’ve been in a bit of a funk, if you will, lately and I am finally starting to snap out of it. One of the things I’ve been dealing with is a possible ear infection which has left my right ear terribly stuffy and I feel half deaf. I want to say it’s getting a little bit better, but I could be wrong. If only it would pop so I could hear again! I’m gonna give it a couple more days with what I am doing and then move on to something else. Hoping it clears on it’s own. Anyway, moving on…
The biggest event of my life lately, I’m done teaching school. We had our final program for the year last week, and I was surprised with the best gift ever! My dear friends made me a book, and I absolutely love it! Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. I will forever cherish it and all the memories of helping to teach for 20 something years. Now, for the next phase of my life – which is still a work in progress. So far, I’m in the grape growing business, and I hope to one day be in the online coaching business, as I’ve mentioned before. I started working on a certification for that last week, and I’ve had a slow start to that as well, but I’m ready to dive in full force now.
I’m also having to make myself adjust to the fact that we are soon to be empty-nesters. There’s no set date, as of yet, but the boy is sure he’ll be moving out by the end of summer. The neat thing is that he has another job, and this job happens to be helping to finish the place he’s planning on living. I am excited and sad all at the same time. So much change is going on in my life right now, it’s a bit overwhelming for me! (I have been known to be a bit emotional.) Anyway, moving on…
Well, there really isn’t much else to write about. I feel like we need a vacation, so I’ve spent some time daydreaming about that. Stephen has so much going on with work at the moment, not sure when that will happen, so I’ve resolved to find us some mini-weekend trips to go on. I can’t wait for everywhere else to start opening back up, but in the mean time my to-go-to list is getting longer and longer. You know what else is getting longer and longer? My to-do list. I could probably spend a whole week just cleaning and going though the rooms in my house. I have too much clutter these days, and I’m about ready to get rid of it all. But, there is always something else I’d rather do. Guess I will wrap it up here and start with some of those things on that to-do list. First thing for today, I think I will go outside and do some yard work while the weather is nice. Hope you all are having a good summer so far, or as good of one as you’re able. Until next time…
Oh, and here was May, one second a day. ❤
