I know we are well into spring, but exactly a month ago my guy and I went out and saw some sights of spring as it was showing up for the season. It’s been years since I’ve wanted to go to the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Nashville to see the spring blooms, and we finally made it. No rain or impending deliveries to keep us away this day.

They have a Dutch theme this year, tulips and windmills. It was all beautiful!

I took a lot of pictures and it was hard to narrow down what to post, but these were some of my favorites. We probably would have done better to wait a couple more weeks to get more of the tulips in bloom, but around here you never know what the weather will be like, so I am happy we went when we did.

The Mary Jane magnolia blooms were probably my favorite of the day. I keep saying I am going to plant one of my own in my yard, but haven’t yet and it’s been almost 14 years. One of these days…

I loved the terrace. I want to go back in the summer just to see the greenery that will be growing on it. It’s such a pretty place.

The day wouldn’t have been complete without a picture of me sitting in a field of daffodils. (No daffodils were crushed in the taking of this pic. 🙂 )

I never knew how good hyacinths smelled until this day. I can definitely plant some of them in my yard before 14 years pass!

We had a great day out! I can’t wait until we go back again. ❤
Beautiful! Thanks for posting it.
