A whole month passes and it only feels like a week. I have had quite a bit going on lately, and today is the day to write it all down. I am just as behind with my daily journal as I am with the blog. Luckily, I have a pretty good memory, or I think I do anyway, so I should be able to catch up. I also have an extensive collection of photos that serves as a pretty good documentation of my daily life. Oh, where would we be without an iPhone these days! I find myself using my regular cameras less and less. Well, I have a month to catch up on so here it goes. Be warned, there will be a lot of photos in this post as well. 🙂

When I was last on here, I had just done yardwork for the first time of the year, and it snowed. Since then, it has warmed up and cooled back down and we have had some bouts of severe weather. We made a day trip to the Nashville/Franklin area and got to spend some time out enjoying the spring air.

I try and find something different to do or somewhere new to go every time we go to the Nashville area, and a lot of my inspiration comes from Instagram (remember this day?). This time it was the Percy Warner Park. In pictures this place looks amazing in the fall, so we will no doubt be back again. It was Aspen’s first outing on the leash and she did well. Nashville and Franklin are also very pet friendly so she was able to join us almost every where we went, lunch and the dentist included.

Next thing to note, we have been spending lots of time on the back deck. I even bought flowers for the year’s old empty planters that were sitting around. It is fresh and beautiful back there, but the mosquitoes showed up this weekend, and so many of them all at once! I am afraid our evening outside time will be coming to an end soon.

More string lights!

A few other things I have been up to include finishing the last bit of spring work in the vineyard. It took me two days to rake up all the cut vines into piles. Happy to say the weather cooperated on those days. And my dad and I emptied one of my deep freezers of muscadines to start another batch of wine. It’s the most fruit we have attempted to make wine from, so I don’t even know how it’s gonna go.

Since I wrapped up with some of my previous nutrition clients, I am starting to reach out for more and some that are local. I have work to do with that this week, and I am meeting with my first in person client. I am excited and looking forward to it.

It’s gonna be a great week for me and I can’t wait to get on with it. I will leave you with what March looked like, 1 Second a Day. ❤
