I love to take pictures and I love to look at pictures!  I can often be found browsing through our never-ending collection on the computer and remembering when each one was taken.  My guy is a pretty good picture taker as well, having dabbled some in photography and having a creative eye when it comes to things like that, and I am recently trying my hand at a little more than just point and shoot photography.  We have – my guy has – this awesome camera that I know nothing about, so I am planning on learning the ins and outs of it.  That may just be something far fetched, and more than likely I will be asking him to help me figure it out, which always ends in me not getting it and just asking again in the future… ugh!  But that aside, I hope to figure some of it out –  if only just to hook up the wireless remote and get an occasional motion shot of myself wearing another pair of my shoes, or something silly like that!  Moving on…

My blog seemed a bit lonely this weekend, not having any views, so I thought I would write a post to get it some attention.   And since I am thinking about picture taking, my post is about my favorite picture.  This picture is not one of the favorites that I have taken.  Come to think of it, I don’t think I have one of those, and it is not one of my guys- I have lots of them- but it is one that a friend gave me several years back.  She took it when we went to Lake Powell in 2002, and I like it so much I had to write a blog post about it!

The memories are just rushing to me!  The heat, the quick rush of  blowing sand, the rock jumping, the boating, the wonderful fellowship, the boy with his first taste of ice cream and piece of watermelon, plus this picture!  I love it!
