Gulf Shores, Alabama in Pictures

Thursday, November 23rd to Sunday, November 26th we spent the weekend on the Alabama coast.  Yuki and Cousin Caleb joined us, and we all had a nice relaxing time on the beach.  We stayed beach adjacent, which was only a five minute walk across the street and as always, the beach was just beautiful!  Not sure how the weather usually is for the end of November in Orange Beach, but for us it was mild, a little breezy, but with plenty of sunshine.

The boys got the most out of the sea.  They actually went in further than ankle deep.  The water was cold and Stephen, Yuki, and myself, preferred the sunshine on our backs and the sand in our toes.  Even so, it was a wonderful couple of days and I definitely think this trip should become a regular event in our lives.

It was a few years back I learned that pelicans migrate through Tennessee at the end of October.  I finally got to see a bunch of pelicans, on the Gulf Coast, and I am thinking that some of them had to have stopped at Reel Foot Lake on their way here.  Birds sometimes fascinate me.

Another site to see was the sunset.  We watched it set twice on the beach and it may have been my favorite part of the trip.  Sitting on the shore, listening to the waves while watching the birds, and witnessing all the colors of the sky, it was perfect!

And a weekend away from home isn’t complete without dinner and drinks sea-side, mini golf, arcade games, and go-karts.  Of course, we did all those as well.  🙂

  1. Beautiful photos happy y’all enjoyed your time at the beach. It looks like a spot we may want to visit when we live there. Lord willing. 🤓
