I never got a picture for last week. Not that I didn’t take any; I took lots. The few I liked I think were not in full manual mode, and I wasn’t going to cheat. (Full Manual was the theme of the week.) I still need to look through the pictures I took again and see if I can find a different one. If not, I will have to work on taking that one still. So Week 3 has yet to be posted. In the mean time, I am moving on.
This week (really last week’s theme, but I’m posting on the week after), the theme is from the Creative Category which says:
Creative: When this category comes up, you really have room to express yourself. You can interpret the assignment literally or figuratively. Unlike the other categories, the idea of this category is to let your artistic impression shine.
The theme is Quiet Moment. We are supposed to take a picture to convey a quiet moment: something symbolizing peace, serenity, tranquility. I happened on my picture without really looking for it. My dad found it for me, and when I saw him he told me to get my camera cause there’d be a picture I wanted out on the property. He was right. I’ve taken a picture of this before, and even found that there is a name for it: needle ice.
What I saw this day wasn’t near as much as I had photographed before, but even as little as there was, I thought it fit the description well.
It was a quiet, cool, and tranquil morning when the needle ice was visible on the land. It wouldn’t last long though, as the morning was quickly moving towards day, and that big bright sun was sure to melt it all away.
What do you think? Anyone ever see anything like this before? Let me know in the comments.
I never seen that before! Really nice! Thanks!
