Everyday is Like Sunday

Scroll down to content

Yes, this about sums up the time at home lately – it’s like Sunday is never ending.  However, Stephen has been going to work everyday, which is great, but here at home, it’s like the same day over and over again.  No where really to be, no specific time to be there, and the day’s plans are whatever you feel like doing.  Without my normal, specific gym schedule, dinner is a lot earlier on a week day and if anything doesn’t get done today, no biggie, just add it to the list for tomorrow.  Two weeks have passed in this manner, and I’m guessing there is about two more to go.  I miss meeting for school with my school group.  I’m very sad with how this school year, my last school year, is ending.  I thought I’d be retiring mid-May, not mid-March.  Longest spring break ever!!!

Despite every day blending into the next, I have been keeping myself busy.  Last week I:

Went walking at the battlefield.  It was a cloudy and cool Monday afternoon and I headed out to get some fresh air and some Fitbit steps.

We had our first fire of the year.  It was the perfect day for it.  I am hoping for many more before it gets too hot outside.

I spent even more time in the kitchen than usual.  Homemade chicken noodle soup one day, and low carb pizzas another were a hit.

Got in a workout with weights.  And got registered for the nutrition certification I am planning to get.  This was probably the most exciting part of my week.  I get free access to the coaching software, so I’ve been messing around with that while I await my textbooks.  My goal is by the end of the year to be able to utilize this certification to be an online wellness coach.

Got my blueberries pruned and fertilized.  Also, spent some time in the vineyard spraying and watching the vines grow.  It’s the best time of the year out there.

Ordered more bee hives.  I hope this is the year we get to harvest honey.  The bees seem very happy it’s April as well.

I think that’s about it for last week.  So far this week, I’ve spent time in the vineyard and have started to think about rearranging my closet.  I think I may have too much clothes.

That’s all from me for now.  Enjoy your time at home.  ❤

  1. My routine hasn’t changed. Steve and I are still working full time. Very thankful for this and each other. So are you all going to stop homeschooling for the year? Or start up next month?

    1. Glad you guys are still working. That’s the same for us too. Our school schedule has just been a little out of sorts. This is my last year teaching though, and it’s quickly coming to an end.
