I wonder what my neighbor thinks lately when I stand on the side of the road in front of his house almost several times a day? Maybe he thinks some of the neighborhood wildlife has caught my attention. Perhaps he thinks I have found something strange growing in the nearby field. Or, he may just realize that I am taking iphone photos of the weeds that are growing by the road, whose fleeting beauty won’t last long.
I have grown a liking to these plants. I read once that it was referred to as chigger weed. Knowing that bit of information, I admire them from arm’s length and just take pictures of Queen Anne’s Lace rather than take pictures in a field of Queen Anne’s Lace.
I think they are so pretty, and I have probably a bazillion photos of them on my phone, but here are two of my favorites that I took this week for the Weekly Photo Challenge.
Enjoy your weekend, readers. Hopefully you will get a glimpse of something beautiful growing in a field yourself. 🙂
Love these photos. I love seeing these weeds in little patches of dirt next to buildings

Did you know that if you put them in a glass of water with food color in it they will turn whatever color you have used! I love them too.

I didn’t know that, thanks. I think I may have to give it a try.

Some weeds are so beautiful! I don’t dare announce it in front of real gardeners, but I kind of love dandelions. 🙂

I am a fan of dandelions as well! That must go to show how much of a gardener I am not. They are good for you also. I have come across a kindle book with many recipes using dandelions. I may have to try and make some dandelion cookies one day…

Dandelion cookies?! I’m dying to hear how those turn out, should you decide to take the plunge! At least they *sound* magical. 🙂
