I really can’t remember all that has gone on this month. I don’t even remember if I ever got a Friday post up on time once during April. My blogging-self is happy today though because it is Friday, and I’ve got a few things to say.
How was everyone’s week? I can’t complain much about mine: it stared last Sunday visiting a winery, and I’m getting close to bringing it to an end this Friday with dinner already cooked and a few minutes of free time to sit here and write. I’m thinking a Friday Five is in order for this week. It’s been awhile and I was slightly inspired by a favorite blogger of mine this morning to do one of these posts. Although, hers differed a little being more of a question and answer type of post, and I am going to go with my usual: the five things that made me most happy about the week. Here they are, in no particular order:
Gardening. This actually just happened and it is what I spent most of my morning doing – that is if you can call it gardening. I don’t think I am much of a gardener. The family and I were supposed to get to yard work on Sunday, but since there’s rain in the forecast, the boy and I had to get to it sooner than planned. We mowed, and I tried to do something with my fallen over rose bushes. I was a little bit successful getting them propped up, but not before almost destroying a bird’s nest in the process. I felt kind of bad about this, but we carefully put the nest back, and hopefully those little eggs will make it.
An unexpected walk. This is making my list because it was a wonderfully nice afternoon on Tuesday, and I thought a warm-up before the gym, lakeside, would be a nice way to get my heart rate going. The boy had piano, and this walking path is three minutes away from his lesson, plus, it just so happens to be across the street from my gym. I was happy for the time outdoors, and for that little extra workout this day. Thinking about it now, I am very happy for that extra workout. My gym sessions half been half as often these last two weeks, and I am starting to feel like I am missing out. (Have I mentioned, my life has been oh, so, busy these days? Oh, that’s right, I say it way to often. Never mind then.) I’m thinking to make up for my lack of gym time by putting in some this weekend. Let’s see how that goes…
Flowers. This kind of pertains to the first thing on my list, but these didn’t require any work from me – yet. They will eventually, as I need to put them in pots, but I am happy to be this much closer to having a decorated back deck.
School photos. These we took last week, but I finally got a chance to look through some of them this week. School photos also mean we are getting close to being done with the school year. Only four more weeks left to go!
Lastly, I am very happy to have dinner already made, and for once in a really long while, time on a Friday to be blogging. I know I started this post out by saying that, but I wanted to say it again. And, I did say I’d be back to my regular blogging self soon, so after this post, it seems I am getting there.
Thanks for stopping by, and as always, I hope you all have a great weekend! Mine will probably be spent indoors, as it’s raining and will be through Sunday. That’s just another thing about spring in Tennessee.
Looks like a pretty week!
